Police Lieutenant, Mike Gardner, proposes marriage to Kim Reynolds, an academic librarian, but her response is not what he hoped for. Kim, a woman of independent mind and spirit, is not ready to make a total commitment to Mike. Undaunted, when Mike gets a call about a homicide which occurred nearby, he invites Kim to act as a consultant in the investigation. He respects Kim's paranormal intuition. Kim and Mike of The Inferno Collection, join forces again to solve the puzzling, mysterious death of a man found floating in the locked pool of Kim's garden apartment complex. The victim, Rick Bradshaw, a womanizer, has made many enemies, both male and female. Matters become infinitely more complicated when the hunters become the hunted.
