Nutaraq and Simonie are eager to go on their first hunting trip with their father. As they load up their snowmobile and sled for the trip, Nutaraq hopes that she will catch her first caribou, with some help from her dad.
But as the trip nears its end and Nutaraq still hasn't caught her first caribou, she tries her hardest to follow all of her father's advice about how Inuit traditionally hunted on the land.
Focusing not only on basic, practical hunting techniques but also traditional values around the treatment of animals and the sharing of food, this book introduces young readers to traditional Inuit hunting practices and treatment of game.
